Why we like it?
- Our Epping range is the ultimate magnet floor. Once you see it, you are drawn to it.
- Rather than straight-forward oils, this floor has multiple coats of oil, that are applied, then gradually removed with wire brushing. The effect means you have a contrasting grain colour, from where oils sat deeper within the wood structure.
- This floor is a textured floor, giving it the feel of real wood.
- This finish is the Grey finish, and the contrasting grain colours are white oil.
- This Epping Range is a bespoke floor. This means you can choose your specification, from shape (straight, herringbone or chevron), width (140mm up to 300mm), thickness, and grade (with knots, slightly less knots, or a clean grade). The picture shown is a 120mm by 600mm Herringbone.
- With these floors the wood is stained prior to receiving a top coat of oil. These reactive stains make the colours more consistent than floors in our Newington range, that just have two coats of UV Oil.
Why you should look elsewhere?
- As this floor is stained, and then oiled, so it takes longer to make. For this reason it’s more expensive than the floors in our Newington Range (our straight forward UV range).
- If you’re looking for an older, weathered look, consider something from our London Range. These floors have even more texture, and include cracks and hand filled knots.
