Why we like it?
- Elm flooring is one of the most beautiful floors available, with swirling cathedral grains.
- These floors are engineered, with an Elm veneer, and then a layer core, giving stability.
- Like Oak, it has similar hardwearing properties. These floors are finished with a Hard Wax oil delivering the ultimate protection.
- Available in a Prime grade, with very few knots, and a Rustic option.
- Available in 180mm to 300mm widths. Planks are up to 2.6m in length.
Why you should look elsewhere?
There are very few reasons to not like Elm flooring.
Perhaps the only one is it’s more expensive than our standard Oak floors. But not as expensive as some of our most expensive ones. Expect to pay c£100 + vat for an entry-level Elm floor.
This floor is only available in straight board (it’s how we keep costs down…). Chevron or Herringbone in an equivalent finish are possible, but would be a bespoke floor (in fact… a seriously epic bespoke floor!).
People will keep telling you, “your floor is so beautiful, I can’t stop staring at it”. This may become annoying after a while, but you will grow to love it.
