Why we like it?
- A dark, rustic floor, with hints of grey, that’s full of character.
- The wood is made of old oak, with unfilled knot holes and cracks. For extra texture cross saw marks are applied.
- This floor has deep reactive stains followed by two coats of UV oil. This creates a hard wearing floor with a beautiful depth of colour.
- The wood comes from Asia, where it has been brushed, and cracked. Oiling then takes place in Belgium. This supply chain allows us to deliver a large number of processes on the wood, for a lower price.
Why you should look elsewhere?
Rustic floors aren’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a modern, clean look then our Clissold Range is more suitable.
The more processes we apply to the wood, the more expensive the floor. This floor has a number of stains, and oils. Plus texture has been shaped into the planks with brushes and saws. For this reason it’s one of our more expensive floors.
This floor is only available in 190mm width straight board (it’s how we keep costs down…). Chevron or Herringbone in an equivalent finish is possible, but would be a bespoke floor (in fact… a seriously epic bespoke floor!).
