Why we like it?
- Our Lewis colour is our most versatile colour, not too light, not too dark, with enough warmth to work in any design scheme.
- Chevron floors are statement floors and will transform any space. The shape of the boards help make a room flow.
- This Chevron is a clean grade. This gives the floor a modern look.
Why look elsewhere?
- Chevron floors are expensive both from a product and fitting side. Expect to pay around 60% to 70% more for supply and fit off this floor compared to a straight board.
- The product has to be perfectly milled. Inaccurate cutting of boards, even if it’s a fraction of a millimetre out, will mean when the floor won’t go together. It is very common for us to be contacted by customers who have originally bought a cheaper Chevron floor, and then struggled to fit it (it’s also why many online retailers avoid Chevron). Do not buy a cheap Chevron floor!
- Fitting will also be expensive. Compared to straight board flooring there are many more wood cuts that have to be made. We also recommend Chevron (and Herringbone..) is glued down when fitted (as opposed to being fitted floating). Only certain subfloors can be glued too, such a ply or a levelling compound, and this means additional works have to be carried out. These are are not required when fitting straight board floated.
