Why we like it?
- Our Hardened wood flooring, is a new category of flooring, which we think changes the game.
- It’s made of a real oak veneer, with a solid core. It might look like laminate from the side, but once fitted, it’s almost impossible to tell the difference with a regular floor.
- There are a lot of benefits to hardened oak flooring, and we explain them fully on our Hardened Oak Flooring website.
- Our Natural Oak finish is similar to our Mathis Floor from our Newington Range but in a clean grade.
- The floor is lightly brushed, to give texture.
- We sell this floor as a Nature Grade (so with small knots), but it’s also available in a clean grade. In terms of widths, it’s available in both a 200mm width plank and a 271mm plank.
Why you should look elsewhere?
When you first see this floor, you’ll think it’s laminate. But it’s not. It’s a really smart wood floor, and once it’s down, you can’t tell the difference.
These floors are designed in Scandinavia. This means they have very thin bevels (the grooves between the floor).
The grading, even the Nature grades, are very clean. This isn’t a Rustic floor.
If you’re looking for a reclaimed look, complex stains, or a parquet, you’ll need a regular engineered floor.
